Sarva Dharma Seva Ashram
(A Mission Saromayo Project)

Objective: A multipurpose and multidirectional project has been undertaken to integrate religion with human & animal welfare.

The project will be aimed to make the operation of the SDSA self supporting. However, to attract funds for project implementation & shelter maintenance, two schemes will be undertaken.

A. Rural Development Scheme in social, health, education & economic upliftment, direct employment and dairy development. This will help in getting various govt. & private grants & aids. It will also help in getting support from the local population. Details of operations are explained later.

B. To develop a Pilgrimage Centre under SDSA, where the deities, saints & scriptures of all religions & sects related to animals will be placed to attract the devotees to pay their homage, where they & their sermons are being worshiped & followed in true devotion & spirit. Seven pavilions will be made with idols & pictures of Deities, Saints & Scriptures of Hinduism/Jainism, Christianity, Buddhism, Islam & one pavilion will be for rituals & customs being followed under different religions & customs all over the world. Detailed research has been done, which has been described later.

Shirdi Sai Baba Mandapam to attract the Sai Devotees in worshipping Him true to His teachings, i.e Sab Ka Malik Ek & every animal has an Atma too. Satisfying an hungry Atma in the shelter, He can be satisfied to get His blessings.

Sarva Dharma Mandapam Development Scheme. A fixed area of land will be allotted for each religion to develop a temple for each religion with the help of the community to promote the basic teachings on human & animal welfare of their religion in rural A.P.

Hospital Ward/OT/ICU/Dispensary Donation Scheme. The donations from the devotees will primarily be utilized to establish a well equipped & well maintained outdoor & indoor hospital for both human & animals with surgical facilities. A research & treatment centre for Canine Distemper & Parvo will be established to attract Post Graduate studies in Veterinary science. The Hospital & the Research Centre will work in close collaboration with well known faculties of USA & other countries.

Planning: Four acres of land has been obtained at Chowtapally Road, Achampet, Off Srisailam Road, Mahabubnagar Dist. A.P. (136 Km from Hyderabad, 80 Km from Srisailam ) This agricultural land comes under Polsettipally Vill, Balamoor Mandal. It is 270 Ft x 675 Ft rectangular land facing the Achampet-Chowtapally BT road in the east. The Ashram is just 3.5 Km from Achampet main road & commercial area. This flourishing town is well connected by a good state highway from Hyderabad and has regular bus service from & to Hyderabad.

The land has been divided in three sectors:
1. Animal Shelters, Dairy, Animal Hospital.& residential quarters.
2. Vegetable, Horticulture & Herbal cultivation.
3. Sai Baba Mandapam(Sai Sangam) & Sarva Dharma Mandapams(Sarva Dharma Sangam)
       Human Dispensary & two bed Hospital
      A multipurpose Hall
      Guest Rooms & residential quarters.

The SDSA Project will have following facilities in the first & 2nd phase. :

a. 3 Ph Electric Supplies for Agri. Borewell, General Purpose & Rural Industry.
b. Bore wells/Open Wells -2 nos.
c. Ground Level & Overhead Water Tanks.
d. Solar Water Heater
e. Solar Cooker.
f. Solar Power Generation (3 Kw) for refrigeration and outdoor lights.
g. Multipurpose Transport Vehicles (LPG Auto Rickshaw/van) – 2 nos.
h. Drip Irrigation for plantation.
i. Equipments for Human & Animal Food kitchens.
j. Hand operated machines & equipments for food processing & spice making.
k. Drainage, Effluent Processing & Gas Generation Plants with cow dung & effluent.
l. Water Harvesting beds.

A detailed layout plan has been prepared with ample space left for future expansion.

The motto of the SDSA will be to give the all distressed souls shelter, food & treatment. Rural Community Development schemes for humans & comfortable living for animals with full modern medical facilities. This will be perhaps an unique experiment in integration of religion, human welfare & animal care anywhere attempted in the world.

The project will be implemented in phases, The first phase of project implementation will be:

a. Four animal enclosures with fencing.
b. Kitchen & Store.
c. Residential accommodation for Incharge, Guest Room, Medical Room & two staffs.
d. Sai Baba Temple.
Other project work will depend on the availability of funds.

Operational Plan:

The SDSA project will be divided in two locations.
a. Head Quarters of Mission Saromayo at West Marredpally, Secunderabad
b. The SDSA at Achampet.

All administrative & monitoring work will be done at HQ. through wireless transmitters & mobile phone.

Operational Policy.

The following setup & policy will be adopted:
1. The entire management of the project will be performed under a Board of Executive Members as per Registration of Societies Act.
2. The success of the project will entirely depend on the dedication & active participation of Executive Members. It will be expected that Executive Members will take the responsibility of at least one sector including Administration, Accounts, Sales, and Procurement & Liaison. Thus it is expected that each Executive Member will visit the site at least once in a month.
3. A monthly report for each sector will be placed before the Board for discussion and approval
4 The Board will meet once in a month to decide on policies & changes.

Financing:

The estimated total project cost will be around Rs. 70 lakhs & the operational cost will be around Rs. 40,000 per month

The Financing will be of two streams:
1. Project Financing
2. Operational Financing.

The Project financing will cover following sectors.
a. Pilgrimage area.
b. Hospitals. for human & animals
c. Animal & Cow shelters
d. Residential quarters.
e. Community Development & Food/Herbal Processing.
f. Horticulture, Floriculture & Herbal Plantations.

The financial resources will be as follows:

A. The pilgrimage area (Mandapams) will be fully dependent on donation fund from different religious communities to familiarize their religion in a remote area.
B. Hospitals will also be fully dependent on donations & grants.
C. Residential quarters will be financed internally, donations & grants.
D. Dog Shelter will be financed internally, donations & grants
E. Cow Shelter will be financed through Jain, Agrasen & other communities.
F. Dairy development will be financed internally, donations & through grants.
G. Community Development Schemes & Food Processing etc financing through grants.
H. Horticulture etc will be financed internally & through grants.
I. Dharamshala (Rest House) will be financed through donation fund.

Donation Schemes

Ambulance cum Mobile Clinic Donation: to provide door step medical help
Dharamshala/Room/Canteen/ Hall Donation Scheme: Fund will be solicited to establish a well equipped lodging & boarding facility for visitors.
Nava Jivan Daan Scheme: (New Life Presentation) to aids/ leprosy/incurable disease patient and socially discarded/abandoned persons to get him/her new life through the service of God.
Gaushala/Pranishala (Cow & Animal Shelter) Donation: to provide shelter & food to rescued animals.
Go Daan(Cow Donation): by sponsoring the rescue of sick/starved/ill-treated cows.
Gau Mata Sanrakshan(Mother Cow rescue & rehabilitation) : to save a cow from slaughtering.
Prani Pran Daan(Animal rescue & rehabilitation: to save a motherless /diseased /starving/ abandoned baby/adult/old animal.
Vidya Daan (Higher Education Donation): to provide higher education to a poor & deserving rural student.
Computer Donation: for free training in computer literacy & information to young rural population.
Gyan Daan (Literacy Donation) to provide adult literacy to rural poor population.

SDSA project will strive to make the Shelter Operation & Medical Treatment of the project self supporting as much as possible through following strategies:

a. Rental income from Mission Saromayo properties.
a. Donation from devotees and well wishers to street & abandoned dogs.
b. Donation from rescuers & dog lovers for contributing the expenses for a dog.
c. Donation from pet owners @ Rs 5000 per dog/puppy/year for giving shelter.
d. Donation from pet owners for giving temporary lodging facility @Rs.100/per day + Food expenses or provision of food .
e. Donation for Meals & Rest Room accommodation
f. Donation for performing Pujas,Cow & Dog feeding
g. Donation for vaccination & treatment, hospitalization.
h. Sale of Dairy & other products.
i. Sale of Herbs & fruits
j. Sale of Salai & other rescued Pedigreed Dogs.
K Sale of Snuffer Security Dogs. & Dogs for Blind Persons.
l. Sale of compost fertilizer.
m. Sale of First Aid Medical Kit.for animals.
m. Donation from pet owners for burial service
n. Donation from overseas & corporate donors

Management & workforce.

An Ashram Pramukh(In charge) will be placed to take charge of all operations.
The first criteria for him/them all will be Honesty & Love for humans &animals.
Resident Human & Animal Doctor will be in charge of human & animal hospitals.
Resident Human /Veterinary Attendant will be working under respective doctors.
Resident Helpers for all other work including cooking, feeding & cleaning, gardening etc.
Resident Priest (Pujari) for temples.
Search is to be made for personnel at NGOs and later through press advertisement.
All facilities will be provided . Only a modest amount will be paid for their personal expenses. Efforts will always be to keep all happy & dedicated.
The personnel for other operations will be taken as per requirement as and when those operations get started.

Social Responsibility: To have a perfect rapport with the local population and to get the status of NGO with Human Beneficial Programme, the following activities will be initiated.

a. To provide employment of local people in all SDSA activities.
b. To provide indirect employment by encouraging Self-Help Groups & Cottage Industries
as per Khadi & Village Industries Commission guidelines, Cocoanut Development Board.
c. To provide free outdoor treatment to the village residents and their animals.
d. To provide basic schooling if not available at the village.
e. To provide Adult Education Facility.
f. To provide computer facility for information and communication.
g. To sponsor two bright boys or girls for Veterinary Courses.
h. To sponsor one bright boy or girl for Dairy Development Course.
i. To sponsor one bright boy or girl for Food Processing Course.
j. To provide relief to distressed persons.
h. To promote cultural activity and social harmony.
